We are extremely proud of 6 musicians from the SMHS Choir and Band program who auditioned at Grafton High School on Saturday, November 15 for possible participation in Mass Music Association Central District Band and Choir.á They performed prepared solos, sight-read music and were graded on scales and vocalises on their own in front of a demanding professional adjudicator.á The students were
Mackenzie Mercure, Jacob Doiron, Conrad Waack, Sydney Mercure, Courtney Gallipeau and Alysia Rivera.






High School Yearbook 2015 deposits are due by Tuesday, 11/25/14.
A deposit of $20 is required to place an order for a book.
Balance will be due in March; amount likely to be another $20,
but subject to change.

Sheriff Louis Evangelis of Worcester and the SMHS Student Council are sponsoring a
Holiday Coat Drive.á Please bring in new or gently used coats to either Mr. Thomo in Rm. 334
or Mr. Carrero in Room 252.á Also, donation boxes will be set up in each Main Office at SMHS.
Canned goods are welcome also!

Several Fall Captains attended a Leadership Workshop at the MIAA office in Franklin, Mass with other student athletes from all over Massacusetts.á Team building, communication, and leadership were topics for the day.









sOn Friday, 09/26/14 SMHS students and staff celebrated HOMECOMING 2014!á Many events were held at McMahon Field including food and informational booths, the Varsity Football teams win over Oxford (35-0) and a special plaque presentation to Mr. Athony Santilli Sr. honoring his many years of service and dedication to the students of Southbridge! PIONEER PRIDE!

On Saturday, September 20, the National Honor Society held it's Kickoff Homecoming fundraisers, which included its second annual fall car wash, a doughraiser courtesy of Uno Restaurant in Sturbridge, MA, aáraffling of SMHS apparel, and a candy apple booth at the Homecoming game. áRaffle tickets were also sold at the Homecoming game, and Joe Torres, a student here at SMHS, was the winner of $50.00 in assorted SMHS apparel. áThe members of the National Honor Society would like to thank everyone who came out to support them in their various fundraising efforts (and sincerely hope that Mrs. Earls' car was cleaned well)! á
